1. Fasciitis- fascia (the fibrous membrane that cover, supports, and separates muscles) inflammation.
2. Atrophy- wasting away of tissue or of an organ; diminution of size of a body part.
3. Apophysis- a bone outgrowth to which muscles attach.
4. Ectopic- located in a place different from normal.
5. Endurance- the ability of the body to undergo prolonged activity.
6. Paraplegia- paralysis of the lower portion of the body and of both legs.
7. Synovia- a transparent lubricating fluid found in joints, bursae, and tendons.
8. Trigger point- area of tenderness in a tight band of muscle.
9. Osteoarthritis- a wearing down of hyaline cartilage.
10. Plyometric exercise- uses a quick eccentric stretch of the muscle to facilitate a concentric contraction.

Students are required to create a 12 (or more if needed) slide power point presentation that will be turned into me. A printed hard copy of the slides (6 per page) needs to also be turned in on the due date. The power point needs to be a succinct arrangement of the material and include bibliography of sources.
